What the new capital can fund
UK-based Humanoid said on July 21 that it raised $152 million in a Series A financing at a $1.35 billion post-money valuation. Reuters separately reported the round and said total funding had reached $270 million. Humanoid says the capital will support a next-generation platform, beta deployments at customer sites in the fourth quarter of 2026, the start of wheeled-robot mass manufacturing and KinetIQ software. Bosch says it will act as the company's contract manufacturer. Those are announced plans, not accepted units or booked revenue.[1,2,3]
A claimed factory route, still without operating proof
Humanoid's commercial hook is Schaeffler. Its May release describes a binding, phased Robot-as-a-Service agreement that targets a four-digit deployment of wheeled units in the buyer's facilities by 2032. It says an initial phase would run at two German sites from December 2026 through June 2027. Schaeffler's January record confirms the partnership, preferred actuator supply and a plan to integrate several hundred humanoids over five years; neither record discloses the later phase's price, cancellation terms or accepted unit count.[4,7]
Schaeffler's public roadmap already has other suppliers
That claimed route sits inside a wider buyer plan. Schaeffler's April investor release names Hexagon Robotics as a partner and says it plans to deploy at least 1,000 Hexagon humanoids within seven years. A March release says its Leju partnership aims to integrate a mid-four-digit number of humanoids by 2035. The programs may cover different tasks and sites, so they do not prove rivalry or reduce Humanoid's allocation. They do show that Humanoid's announced unit target is not publicly convertible into exclusive production capacity.[4,5,6]
The measurable next test
The decision change is narrow: new financing plus a manufacturing partner creates a route to pursue a rollout, but it does not settle which supplier gets which factory work or whether systems have passed acceptance. The next test is a Schaeffler-confirmed customer site with a named task, installed and accepted unit count, uptime and intervention data, and some pricing or revenue evidence.[1,2,4,5,6]
